I am obviously having a problem posting properly to the board. If I click on the edit icon and add new info or make a change the revised post is showing up as a brand new post causing several duplications of the same info.
I've never had this problem before. Is this just a glitch or is there a new operating procedure?

xterrester,
I'm able to make an edit w/o generating a new post, so there is at least the possibility that you have altered your procedure in some small way that you don't realize.
===
Hmmm. Comparing your two posts, it looks like you have added some tags improperly. Most tags are two part (opening tag and closing tag). In your adjusted post I see two closing quote tags but no opening quote tags. When a two part tag is missing one part the other shows up as plain text in the post.
(But I don't think this is the cause.)

Larry,
The tags seemed to be spontaneously appearing in the posts. I was trying to delete them.
I recall that when I tried to Post New Reply I received a message saying I wasn't signed in. I typed my user name and password in the spaces provided on the message box then hit the Post button again, received a message saying the post was successful and went back to the forum, discovering that my message had not posted after all. I went back to edit and made a few more attempts with the same results. I also had the same problems with the Who's on Mars thread so I gave up and turned off my computer.
Came back later and discovered all attempts had posted, some with deleted or edited text still there plus unwanted tags. Yesterday the board was fine, no problems. This morning I had the same problem with posting, getting a message saying I wasn't logged in. I am sure that I did log in. It took four attempts to log in before I successfully logged on (I THINK I successfully logged on, will find out when I try to post this message).
The day before the problems started I installed a new operating system (Tiger) on my computer. Is it possible Tiger is interacting with the board in a way that would cause this problem?

Back to the dest devils, varying degrees of brightness flare up at the base of the whirling dust devils. Is this an electrical phenomena or is it highly reflective soil being pulled up?
