Here's that image nem 11, taken one day later. I left the crud on teh mirror, as to take it off means losing some stars. Is the "hot pixel" still there?

Oh, this is now a game that everyone can play. Just download the two images, line them up in photoshop and then play about with filters and blink the two. I work on a Mac, so the gamma differs from that of a pc. So first off, on a pc, would be to alter the gamma to lighten the image a little.

Hi Joe, if you look at nem 11, more or less in the middle, there's a group of stars that look like a distorted Orion. Above what would be Bellatrix is a horrible splodge on the mirror. Go straight down from this star to where the belt stars of Orion would be, and there's a very faint oval of light. Blink the two images and it does have a brighter point centre. Do you think that this is a galaxy?

Ah [] how to find it. In the line of text above the image of nem11, find teh word "means" and drop fown from the "n" of that word.

Here's the last image. Now Bill Smith has got better images from his software but I couldn't find any movement when I blinked tthese ones.
