Greg, here are some more images clipped from a Hirise image, showing the straight lines and near rectangular/squarish patterns in Hale Crater:
Generally:
Squares on hilltops:
Square beside a circular crater:
Circular crater on the left seems to be forming straight lines:
A raised rectangle on the left beside a depressed rectangle on the right:
Rectangles running along the top of a ridge:
Rectangles around a hill:
Odd (green) objects in and beside crater:
Rectangles within a large crater:

The first 2 pictures are an interesting argument, I will have to investigate them some more though. Normally that kind of terrain is not so angular.
