I think a close examination of the areas enclosed within the red squares in the above image is most revealing. The use of a magnifying glass in discerning what is shown is most helpful. I use a TOZAJ purchased at Walgreens.

Why does one need a magnifying glass to enlarge what one can clearly see are individual pixels? Enlarging a black dot only reveals a larger black dot.
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>
In these areas it is not only the rectilinear shapes that look artificial, it is the relationship of the shapes to each other and it appears to be very non-random.
<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
You're right, natural terrain patterns are non-random. I see numerous areas on the image that exhibit as much linearity as the ones you highlighted, it is purely personal taste that is making you concentrate on some parts of the image rather than others. I suspect that a computer program would show fairly constant fractality over the whole area.
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>
There is a repeated pattern of larger, structural, possibly warehouse-type shapes with spaces in front of them in which one can find what appears to be carefully placed smaller rectilinear shapes that remind me of shipping trucks viewed from above. Or possibly large storage sheds. Or buildings that are somehow auxillary to the larger structures.
<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
Note the wordings here: POSSIBLY warehouse... WHAT APPEARS TO BE..
POSSIBLY large... REMIND ME OF... SOMEHOW AUXILIARY... This is all just personal wishing.
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>
Not all of this looks like ruins to me.
<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
I'm sorry to say that NONE of it looks like ruins to me. Gotta get above the noise level guys!

I have to say that there is still a chance but a small one at that like 1/1 billion. I saw possibility but most of it is left to imagination and you can believe your imangiation if you want. The pictures are interesting landscaped anyway!! And they bring good engineering ideas, but beack to subject when we se a multicelled creature with abrain at least half the size of ours then let maybe i will lowere the chances in my mind.

Jeremy,
I use a magnifying glass for the same reasons someone might use one when closely examining a photograph. It helps see the details more clearly. Although I recently discovered a magnifying glass does not help when viewing on a flat screen. I
You are correct in that some of the highlighted areas on the last image are not very different than many other areas of the image.
I choose a few areas to "frame" because I think it makes the image less confusing for the viewer, easier to focus in on what is inside of the red square than trying to "read" the entire image.
And of course in some cases I use words like "possibly" and "could be" as part of the image description as it hopefully helps other viewers see in the image what I am seeing. When viewing the last image I feel very strongly that I am looking at artificial structures. But it would be ridiculous to claim that I know exactly what they are used for. I think it is natural to try and relate what we see in these images to what we are familiar with here on Earth.
I see no reason why there wouldn't be intelligent life on Mars. It's technically possible. My thoughts are that it is more likely than not for life to be on Mars. And I think there are obvious signs of it in many of the images.

Xterrester,
I like your picture of the tents. They look indeed quite rectangular and artificial... certainly when you take into account the skull like resemblance undert the triangular (artificially covering the skull?) rock. (you'll find this skull thing northeast in the close up of your 'barrack' picture).
I have just seen another picture (I'll post the link in 2 mins) with a site like infrastructure and a face.
