I am not aware of any books about this stuff that are not all alike. The model is changed to suit new data but there is never any doubt the model is the best that can be produced. In fact the model is silly and we would be better off without a model. There is enough things that need fixing and that should be where research effort is applied-fix what needs fixing and stop inventing universes that are silly.
