can mathematics and logic account for real world physics?
____________________________________________________________________________
This must be considered a subjective problem.
The users of mathematics and logic are simply unwilling to account for real world physics, due to personal intellectual shortcomings in using these tools.
eg. a deliberate oversight of all chemists, regarding the simple propoerties of water:
h20 is not water, and our chemical calculations are deliberately insufficient, until we consider the reality that it should be h20 in a physical relationship that requires that one out of every 15,000,000 water mollecules to be h30.
This appears insignificant, and yet it must be accounted for as a requirement for a correct understanding of real world physics. Equally insignificant at one time was the fact that the sun set and rose on either sides of the horizon.
The idea of dimention of scale should not be limited to astrophysics, but to all the sciences.
Some explosion of scientific spirit across academic borders, in pure form, is in order.
quote:
___________________________________________________________________________
we could try some hybrid model with complex 3D "macro-cells" applied onto model of space in a multi-layer way with iterative recurring corrections; some special measures must be taken to avoid divergences, like using extra precision with finer scaling in suspect areas.
___________________________________________________________________________
A viable candidate fitting the above description: Human brain (temporal-multi-level-proccessing thrown into the bargain).
Special measures: subjective

absolute zero: -273.2 degrees celcius
expansion of gas as heated by one (celcius) degree: 1/273.2
one sidereal month (orbit of moon to same position in relation to the background sky): 27.32 days
Moon acceleration around the Earth: 273cm/sec^2
Human conception to birth: 273 days
Female oestral cycle: sidereal month

What is so special about this that needs explenation?
The unit scale of those measurements are arbitrary.
If we had chosen another measurement scale for length or temperature then there would not be any coincidence.
Only exception here would be I think the female oestral cycle, which more or less combines well with a sidereal month.
Might have something to do with the gravitational effect of the moon on the human body.
But the rest is just bare nonsense, cause they depend on the measuring unit.

Numerology is another fantastically useless tool of the Conspiracy Brigade (No offence JimiProton - this is just a general observation) and armchair specialists. There are some marvellous examples out there, among them Hoagland's Martian Inter-dimensional nonsense. This link illustrates the pitfalls -

Since existence is infinitely divisible (no cellar or attic to reality)the declaration of "sacred" numbers or physical contants is nonsense. The mass of a proton is "whatever" on average. No two protons are exactly alike since they are not monoliths but structures.
Note that even mathematically "pure" numbers such as pi or e are irrational numbers. A very clear indication of the dimension of scale and its being unbounded...

This was not intended as an exercise in numerology; rather, an exercise in harmonies, which must be accounted for.

True, measures of scale are arbitrary. The arbitrariness of the items was the point of the example. Human life arising on a world where the metric unit is derived from a decimal-derivative of the pole-measurements was the point.
This was in on way meant to imply a mere numerological approach.
Biological heredity was inferred "numerologically," and later confirmed scientifically by Gregor Mendel.
This was meant as a call to an opening of the scientific spirit, which, rather than approach all phenomena with skepticism, should approach all physical phenomena with an assumed "harmonious" interrelation.

Addition to previous posting;
... decimal-scale of pole-to-pole measurements (metric), and decimal-scale of freezing-boiling points of water (celcius) on the only planet upon which we know life to have arisen, are not arbitrary.
