Sorry Wilson, I'm afraid this might be difficult around here. I have a hard enough time trying to show people that pure "nothingness" doesn't exist.

quote:
Patrick, I wish you would try to locate chapter and verse on that "across the pond" experiment, cite references we can check? That would be great if you could find it again!

I'll see what I can find. Why don't you post what you have under one of the other topics and everyone can start from there. I'm sure your post will find interest. The answers might not be the ones you want but they will be well thought out and intelligent. This is a GREAT! forum, I **highly** respect everyones opinion here.

Makis:

After his late twenties Einstein turned to the marriage of light and gravity in a single theory, as we know. When quantum mechanics took over theoretical and experimental physics, he persisted on his own tack, and his mathematics became more and more divorced from experimental verifiability. I seek the opposite here. If it's not grounded in experiment, it isn't real (yet).

Patrick:

I posted the links, would rather not copy and paste their contents.

I do have a comprehensive FTL bibliography (which I did not compile, btw) to contribute, however, though I was waiting to see what interest the rudimentary bench-top URL's generated first.

Anyway, here it is:

www.aei-potsdam.mpg.de/~mpoessel/Physik/FTL/tunnelingftl.html

I still offer that FTL device PDF file, if you or anyone else is interested, by email.

Wilson, it can still be real without experiment, it just may not be practical. Sometimes things are just as real as you and me but there isn't an experiment to prove them. How can you prove I am real? Perhaps I am just some entangled quanta in your mind being controlled by Atko or Makis. Or perhaps they have created me to exist only in cyberspace. Better yet, perhaps you have created me in your own mind and they have no idea who you are even referring to as "Patrick. To you, I am real. To them, I may not be.

"When quantum mechanics took over theoretical and experimental physics, he persisted on his own tack, and his mathematics became more and more divorced from experimental verifiability". Perhaps, this is one of the reasons he is being challenged as much as he is.

(Wilson, don't worry. I'm real........I think?)

[Here's a suggestion: (1) design a circuit, and software to run it, which would effectively produce FTL.

Suggestion (2) [perhaps combinable with suggestion (1)]: you have seen the simple experiment which demonstrates a photon's existence in two places at once, effectively split. Can anyone suggest a way to design and build experiment (1) to incorporate fiber optics or (preferably) laser, so that the output we measure from the circuit can be transmitted to a remote receiver, or reflected off a remote surface (say, the moon), respectively? We know that this is what the naysayers, who hold the keys to the scientific mainstream's vault
want to see. Let us build such an experiment, and let them debunk it if they can. If it's built wisely (assuming it can be built) they will be unable.

]this is good ways that can be used to test FTL.If a FTL particle is two places at once how do they both alter the information? Maybe they have a middle in which they take from eachother and they do moving and do not just copy eachothers inforrmation. How they are so far away and sahre the information must be a physical world connection which will be used to get radio(cell phones, car phones, communication...) quicker and more effecient the only problem is the way to have way of constantly pbserving the signal? I purpose they just use a main circuit to tell how much information (2 sets would cou8nt as one set of information)
