Parrotopia has always been one of the most intriguing sites on Mars. In my opinion, maybe even THE most intriguing site.
It's a shame the HiRise people have thus far refused to image Keith Laney's suggestion 59392:
www.uahirise.org/hiwish/view/59392
We may find ourselves in similar situation as with the Road Runner where we can't tell if the Parrot and/or The Guardian are artificial, but I believe the "City" would be clear one way or the other.

I agree, there is much to see here and as there is so much interest in this basin, I have taken the liberty in producing some faux anaglyph images.
I suggest copying the images and do some zoom in evaluations using the technique I described earlier. Enjoy.

Has HiRISE given any explanation why they won't image this region? Also, I noticed that Laney's request was not for stereo images. That's a pity, this really needs the stereo images to asses those structures.

No. I've asked 3 times if they plan on doing it, and if there was any reason why they won't do it. They've ignored all three messages.
I did get a response about a month ago as to how much longer they will capture images, and was told the fuel should last two more years.

I've now spent quite some time at extreme magnification levels of the surrounding area north of the Parrot body and upon reviewing the quite numerous features there, it does NOT surprise me that HiRISE is rejecting this request. IF we could acquire a high res image of this region with specific inclusions, the Holy Grail question would be answered and we would all but passing round the big fat Cubans!
How can we press HiRISE to respond to the tax payers demands....a class action torpedo perhaps?

As far as the HiRise people go, you have to remember that most of this stuff is loony to them. Maybe they're engaging in one giant conspiracy to keep the truth from us, but more likely they know it's nonsense.
