<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>I just stumbled onto this site a couple of hours ago...it's fascinating to say the least. When I saw item number 47, the "Arranged Triangles", it immediately gave me the impression of cuneiform. I'm not aware of how large an area these shapes appear on, so perhaps this thought is easily dismissed.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>
Roughly, these objects are somewhat more than 100 meters across each. In other views of possibly similar objects, they tend to suggest vertical obelisks casting shadows. -|Tom|-

Tom, thank you for the reply...where can I find access to the "other views" you mentioned? What's the precise orientation of the objects on Mars(latitude/longitude)? Are images available that encompass the entire area these objects occupy allowing someone to make observations concerning any perceived relationship to each other, or to the Martian landscape? If someone can point me in the right direction, I'll be on my way...thanks.

The URLs for the "Artificial Structures on Mars" presentation are in the press kit. Many scattered images bear a resemblence to the arranged triangles. It would be premature to try to map them yet because the spacecraft has still mapped only a fraction of 1% of the surface of the planet. Image M2301950 is an example of the kind I mentioned. Here's an extract:

This is one I found doing research studies in the Malin website
