It seems that the next step would be color photographs of these items. I plead ignorance. Is there any spacecraft which has or will have the ability of color imaging?

There are several cases where higher resolution imaging might be an eye opener. Three examples out of many come to mind. E1100360, "Facility" is one; S0510105 "Mesa woman," M0202913, "Wrecked Ship," are others, to name just a few. All have possible artificial structures associated with them which are not faces, and would either be falsified or confirmed at higher magnification. S1000829 "Kilroy," already confirmed at the high resolution of 1.5 m/p, and revealing a good triangle where his eye should be, would, I suspect, reveal even more detail at even higher resolution. There is a lot more here gentlemen than just vague faces, but I suspect some of you know that fact quite well.

Here are some less impressive objects. They're the last I'll take from the WCC. My reason for using them is the significance, I think, of them. One of the thresholds for possible artificiality I like to use is the visibility of detail in the eye or eyes in conjunction with other facial features. Another is some recurring theme we see in more than one place.
Here is M0303301, "Brainiac." It's a not quite human looking head in profile with a large cranial area, face facing up. Inside its "scull" is another smaller face looking at us full face. This smaller face has two detailed eyes. The theme of one face in the scull of a another larger face is repeated from Crownface "inside Barbara's head."
Here is M1103947, "Danny." Again we have the characteristic detailed eye, plus big nose and big guy hair, in profile to our left. Dan has one of the few ears we see on Mars faces.
Small faces are always problematic, mainly because we can't see enough detail to reach any possible artificiality threshold. But somethimes there is an overriding factor that compensates.
The catterpiller-like edifice that crosses the center of the image is divided into more or less equal sized rectangular stone slabs. On each slab is a well defined but small, 70-80 meters wide, face. The third or forth from the left appears to be a blond woman. Here's M110394, "Gallery."

For those who have trouble seeing the small ones here's M110394 "Norma" indicated in the white box.
And Here's Barbara again in a composite of two images as indicated.

Wow. I finally see Barbara. This is not as easy as it looks. Looks human, not humanoid.
