Ultimately I would like some scientist, especially from THEMIS, to be able to tell me how they actually followed their vaulted 'scientific method' to arrive at the conclusion White Rock isn't white in color from a non-color image.
This is just beyond 'in-your-FACE' bad science on their part.

The board of directors are of the opinion that name calling is not appropriate to this forum and I agree. [monitor]

No official images are scheduled for release during the first six months of the mission. What we are seeing are selected "press release" images. We will have to be patient before we see serious images at multiple wavelengths.

In apology for the use of nomenclature which is not within the guidelines of this forum I tried to edit the post and couldn't so I have emailed a corrected version to comply with the rules of this forum as I consider it an important new feature in the 'war' of information/disinformation/noinformation that is currently being waged over that 'war planet' called Mars.
As I stated in the emailed correction I again apologize if I have offended anyone. I am a brusque individual who deals with reality in a BRUTAL TRUTH type of manner and calls it like I see it.
While it is true that the first 'data dump' is not due until August 19, 2002 for ALL the images ( and RAW ancillary files) acquired since THEMIS first fired itself up to the images acquired March 19, 2002; the fact that the THEMIS team HAS instituted a 'release' policy before that time gives us the right, imho, to comment fully on that policy and the images, or lack there-of, being used for that policy.
It has become all too apparent in recent years that some scientists view 'their' spacecraft, and its resulting data, as exactly that, THEIRS. Those spacecraft, AND the resulting data, is no more ' theirs ' than the White House in Washington DC BELONGS in title and deed to George W Bush. He, like the scientists, are temporary custodians of these taxpayer assets. They are NOT 'their' personal 'toys'. A six (6) month embargo is one thing, but deliberately withholding data beyond that is quite another. It has been more than 12 ( TWELVE ) months since the April 8, 2001 Cydonia Face image, WHERE is the ancillary data for THAT image?
While not meant to justify 'name calling', being polite has its points and has been tried by me many many times in the past; it never worked. Taunting seems to have provided more concrete results. When I publicly taunted Dr. Malin to acquire an image like the April 8, 2001 image, both left and right sides from the tippy top of the headdress to the bottom of its chiny-chin-chin and backed it up by sending my own personal check to order the 30x32 inch image from him and making it public, it got results. So did talking directly with First Lady Hillary Clinton in public. Sometimes beeing meek and nice will only you get you run over.
I again apologize to this forum for any issues you may have had with the original post, I have emailed a corrected version just before this reply.
But I again wish to point out that, while the 'data dump' isn't due until August 19, 2002; THEMIS instituting a 'public relations release' policy gives us the right to complain about it when it fails our taxpaying expectations, after all, it is OUR spacecraft, NOT the THEMIS teams. Like George W, they are merely custodians.
Thank you
