Black holes

You are talking about models and the BB model needs black holes to get rid of mass left over in the modeling. This has nothing to do with the universe its just a model. Other models were popular in the past and in the future other models will replace BB. Maybe even parts of MM will be used in the future models. Thet will still be only models. In the real world models are used and recognized as models.

I was refering to the man in the street view of the issue. The public in general does not read scientific magazines or take physics courses. They get their ideas from the entertaining industry (which is supposively getting their facts from science) and this creates the general impression of what is real in the world of science, astronomy and cosmology.
This drives science to focus on certain 'hot' topics. Any alternative models that might indanger the 'hot' topics would also be a danger to existing movies based on the topic.
Imagine how they have to explain all of a sudden that 'warp drive' is impossible in star trek if space warping is shown to be not true! They simply have too much to loose. Then again it is the movies/tv shows that actually get people interested in science in the first place - thus killing it would also kill science interest.

There is of course schools but in many places in the world due to bad management and resources schools cannot give a good science education or interest in the subject. The majority of the children in the world suffer of this. I know what I'm talking about.

I don't think you can get a good science education in any school in the world at this time and thats the real reason student grades are lower than in the past. The whole system is in need of major change. But that is stuff for some other web site. Here the issue is that black holes don't exist and the BB never happened.

In a sense 'black holes' does exist (called Mitchell stars) but their properties are not as extreme as Wheeler and others showed to be. As for BB I believe most (at least on this messageboard) don't think it is a viable concept anymore. At least not in the universal sense.

The work that Stephen Hawkings did on black hole (think IR radiation), how does that hold up to Mitchell stars?
