Hi tgill, It is good to hear there may be something wrong with how these things are assumed to be. I am of the opinion most of the problem is caused by simple and basic errors that have been established during the last two hundred years. The errors are so simple in fact they have been established as constants in models thereby becoming untouchable third rail type issues. Anyone who inquires about these things is ignored by the people getting funds to study nature. So most of the published information repeats the same old stuff. How to correct this problem is a puzzle itself.

I agree that this may be the case. However, in my opinion, the only way to change the playing field is to stay away from the third rail and raise a (gentle but firm) ruckus about the problem, so it can't be buried in some obscure mathematics or inappropriate physics.

It took about a thousand years to overturn the flat world model and that was even though it was known the Earth was round before the model got established. I see the current situation as about the same as things were back when the world flat only now the model is a lot more flexible. The people who maintain the model have ways to mold it to suit any facts that come along or massage the facts to suit the model. As long as this process is funded there will be many who will maintain the model. Maybe the funding process should be studied and changed somehow-I have no clue how to do that.
