Thanks I did think of that and you have brought up one of the large problems I have to deal with. These effects do not show up easily in discrete measures and can only be seen in the performance data of dynamic systems over time.
I can and will demonstrate that the local pressure/temperature does immediately change but standard instrumentation will be generally blind because they are both being affected by the same fundamental change in gravity pressure. Both the air and the measurement device are changed to exactly the same degree and other things being equal the net effect is very close to zero. I am aware that the onus is on me to demonstrate that these effects do exist in the form I describe and I am working on that. I do need measures for a wider area as I have gathered most data locally. I have done some testing in Colorado and as far north as Oregon with similar results. I have been able to accurately predict the future performance of human and animal performance for up to ten minutes at a time including significant change in level to within a few seconds and relative speed for example on an exercycle to within a few rpms. This should not be possible, I know and I can only state that is at work in this world and I can do this. I was hoping that the sun and moon effects would be a shortcut and provide a reason to spend the time required for the mass data required by other means. I guess that will require mass data as well I will also state that I have two degrees, Liberal Arts and Psychology and several years additional coursework which includes Statistics, Biology, Geology, Meteorology and research design and evaluation. I have been chasing this phenomenon for about 15 years now on a part time basis. I’m not in Tom’s league but I’m trained enough to know what is not explainable by standard means. I will be pushing the button on a website by the end of the week, ready or not, and will have a video demo of the sunset effect just in case someone decides to verify this and experience it personally.

Why not presume your plant has a clock inside? Virtually all life forms obey dayly, mensal, yearly cycles; and, due to periodicity, they are able to introduce arbirary phase shifts in the cycle. This feature is a commonplace among living things...

That is what I did at first. I studied all I could find on chronobiology: Circadian rhythms, ultradian, and infraradian cycles, bifurcation, entrainment and so on. At first my reaction was similar to Tom's, I kept try to 'make it fit' the known model which in Chronobiology is a sine wave. I kept finding that I was observing little 'bumps' in my otherwise smooth waveform. Eventually I had nothing but squiggles and hills valleys and deviation of all kinds! I got quite exasperated. I finally realized I was not being a good naturalistic observer, I had to find out what'was' happening first before trying to make it fit my preconceived notion of what ‘should’ be happening. The rest is a very long story and I will tell you personally more if you wish but it is clear that this is too 'out there' for this board.

I would presume you had ensured appropriate electromagnetic screening and also had your plant in a pot insulated from the ground soil? The waveforms you are describing often happen from the EM interference or ground currents (electric) when a nearby city shuts the lights off or simply switches the night/daytime modes of its electric power systems.
(but don't take me too serious, I'm just an over-educated amateur in most areas of discussion here)

99.99 percent of the observations and trial data used to formulate the prediction equation were based on human and animal performance.
I was the subject for half of that. I have not seen anything other than extremely minor shifts that could be the result of extraneous EM nature.

I just found the time to actually read the Shnoll etal report. You are correct, at a minimum my results are consistent with the noted results of this study and at the maximum may constitute the root cause of or explanation of those results.
“It is much more difficult to envision the nature of the universal agency that controls the realization of particular shapes of discrete distributions. One possibility is the change of scale in the natural numbers –the change of the ‘size of unity’. One may think of the unit of time, for example. Such global change of the universal scale may be caused by gravitational factors –a change in the spacetime curvature. A sound analysis of such a hypothesis will possibly require experiments under different gravitational perturbations.”
I believe he is correct here as I think this is what I am demonstrating.
P.S. I have found an error in the accuracy of the astrocalc data I was using for my calculations. Finally with a chance to observe sunset on the coast of California (usually too much fog!) I have determined that the Navy time is the more accurate time. This means my estimate of 6min 30sec for a minimum goes to about 8min! I can get no closer due to lack of seconds resolution in stated sunset times and I have not the access to the equipment necessary to pin anything down. I will just produce enough 'rough' data (between 8 and 9min prior to sunset) to convince someone with access and knowledge required to pin it down to check it out!
