Ummm...fudged by whom, North? I am slightly perplexed. On one hand you claim you don't see anything in the images but on the other you state that maybe they have been fudged which suggests to me that you DO see something in the images. As far as resolution goes these are a shade better then the average Mars image. The resolution on the dome with the flaming eye is very good. Are you viewing these on a flat screen or a CRT? (Enlarged images tend to become unreadable on flatscreens.) And at what resolution? I am viewing the images at 1692 x 1394
I clearly see rows of square structures in the first image. This looks entirely similar to what one might see when looking at sat images of certain civilized areas on Earth.
The third image down with an Earth sat image posted beneath it for comparison look remarkably alike in the pertinent areas... You know....if it looks like a duck...etc. IMO we are definetly looking at some ducks here.
And the dome with the flaming eye in the diamond?..Holy Toledo! This looks like natural geology to you? Look at the symbols above the eye. Look at the darned eye! I think the chances of this being a piece of geology untouched by intelligent hands is next to zilch.

problem is how do we know this was not caused by geology at some time? i am not closed to the possibility of life having been there, i just need much better proof.

hi,
I have some really interesting pictures, but I don't know how I have to share them with you.. do you use a free hosting server or what?
I am not a freak, but got intrigued after looking at some pictures (I am not talking about Cydonia or other doubtful things, but there is a real logic and infrastructure in the picture I am talking about...) I'm downloading more shots know, and well, I have got quite some surprises..
let me know please... (the alternative is writing a book which I'd sell for 25$
(and sorry for the noob question...)

ok, here is a link of an infrastructure combined with a face like resemblence.
The image has not been modified, except with red numbers, lines and letters to illustrate my comments.

North,
I think discerning what is natural geology versus artificially created structure in the Mars images can be accomplished by studying the commonalities of landscape created by geological processes here on Earth versus the commonalities of civilized areas of Earth.
Familiarizing ourselves with satellite images of Earth areas of natural geology, even studying atypical forms that are geologically created and comparing them to sat images of civilized areas can equip us with a basic visual vocabulary and an understanding of the visual parameters that most basically define artificial vs. natural.
In addition to comparing basic qualities of form and structure, apparent artistic and creative sensibilities should be taken into consideration. An example of expressed artistic intelligence can be found in the dome/ flaming eye image. Not only do we find an anatomically correct eye, it is artistically embellished with flames, the eye is centered in a geometric shape (the diamond) and this entire feature is then centered under three evenly spaced, pleasingly formed, proportionately sized figures or symbols that resemble alphabetic or identification markings of some kind. Any one of these striking features alone would not make a strong case for artificiality but finding all of them in one place in artistic and intelligent relationship to each other leads me to conclude that the chances of all this being the result of natural geology are next to zero.
There is also the consideration that these are found embellishing a structure that could possibly be quite functional as a habitat. In addition, there are other features of this dome that suggest artificiality to me. Around the edges on the left side, there are areas that look like possible openings.with intriguing smaller shapes in front of them.
Beyond all this, consider if there are any other clues that might shed light on whether or not Mars could sustain life or if there are any hints that there might currently be life on Mars. The Martian atmosphere is roughly equivalent to the Earth's atmosphere at 15,000 feet. Daytime Martian temperatures have recently been measured at 70 degrees Fahrenheit and we now know there is abundant water frozen just beneath the surface and IMO also flowing on the surface. Recent ESA images of Mars show a planet that is tan and green with areas of deep blue here and there. Some of these deep blue areas look very fluvial. Then there are the reports from credible sources of transmissions picked up from Mars. Tesla reported receiving transmissions from Mars and during the day of radio silence (not sure of the date) scientists reported and recorded signals received from Mars.
Additionally there was the incident with the Soviet Mars probe that mysteriously vanished while approaching Phobos. Not to mention several equally mysterious incidents involving vanished or malfunctioning Nasa Mars probes on their final approach to Mars. What occurs to me is maybe there is a civilization up there that was defending it’s airspace against alien intruders. Nasa certainly gives the impression that they are hiding something about Mars.
Given the drive that life has to adapt and persist no matter how harsh the environment and given what can be found in the Orbiter images I think there is a strong case for life on Mars.

Mosco,
Do you have any other identifying numbers for that image?
