Can you elaborate?

BTW, if the wandering planet that causes these floods comes around once every X thousand years, shouldn't we be able find evidence of at least several thousand world-wide and time correlated floods?
[/quote]
Although a planet could come, as speculated, once every 3,600 years, our Earth would have to be in the wrong place in its orbit for the effect to be significant. Perhaps 1 out of every 12 passages of the Planet X would result in such a flood. Russian roulette.
I am referring to what should be more correctly titled a tidal surge. Say several hundred feet high, but the width (in the direction of travel) would be several hundred miles! It would just keep coming, and coming, and coming...
If such a surge has washed over the entire Earth, how do you distinguish its markings from anything else? To be humorous, if you are standing in the footprint of a twenty mile tall brontosaurus, how do you recognise that it is a footprint? We attribute all sort of features, such as the Grand Canyon, to millions of years of erosion, because the current river flow would take that long to erode it. What if it was done in several weeks? Are the Appalachian Mountains much older than the Rockies, or are they simply more worn down by a worldwide tidal surge that comes from the East? In the Seattle area, drilling and digging has shown a huge forest buried under about 100 feet of sediment. They attribute it to a local event - a terrible earthquake with a monstrous tidal wave. What if we are looking at pieces of the puzzle and haven't put the puzzle together?

Geologists talk about such issues all the time. They have worked out methods of putting a (world wide) puzzle together, and have done so for several different world wide events (such as the K-T iridium layer). I suppose it is possible that they have managed to miss (( hundreds?? thousands?? )) of world wide flood events but it seems unlikely.
What else do you have?
???,

This is from Neil's "frozen man" above. This is the man's pet wolf, or other small pet. He's laying on his master's chest. The man's beard is directly over the back of the head of the wolf. The wolf is lying curled up, with the right side of his head on the man's chest. Note, if you follow his left front leg down to the foot, you can see spaces between the toes (lower right of the picture). Also, note the detail of the snout and nose area, and the coloring (shading) of the hair going up to the ears. The eyes are in exactly the right place, with good shape. It could also be of the cat family, instead of the wolf family.
That downward curved line above the wolf's head is the man's mouth. Note that I've cropped the man's eyes and nose area. They can't be seen in this image, which is cropped just above the man's mouth.

Since our message board doesn't have a place to store images to be displayed here, I suppose it is reasonable to mention such a service here.
===
Since TANSTAAFL someone has to pay. This sort of free service is often paid for via advertising, and Internet advertising can be (but isn't always) very agressive.
QUESTION - Do you have any info you can pass on about this aspect of File Lodge?
(I advise users to approach this service with caution until we know if it can be used without gunking up our computers ... ) (If it does, we will block it. Any images stored there will become unavailable here.)
(Hmmm. Stand by for more ... )

Larry, I've been using filelogde for all my images. When you upload an image, after the image has been uploaded, it goes to a page which shows you the url and image bracket code. Now, on that page, it also has two other lines, which are urls for the avertising you are talking about. But, I don't copy those into the message (why would I?), so that all I'm doing is using their free hosting, with no strings attached.
If they change things, such that I had to add an advertisment (I saw some of that kind of free hosting when I was looking), I would stop using them.
A word of caution. If you block filelodge, you are effectively deleting the Nefertiti Family Topic.
