I do not know if it is pareidolia or not, but in additon to the tetrahedron I see two or three ape-like faces with either a hint of a smile or an outright SEG. I also see Princess Leia (the one from Star Wars with the honey-bun hair do over each ear) from the waist up, but the detail is not good enough to tell if she is wearing anything.
LB
BTW, I'm on a different computer right now, and these images look enough different from what I remember on my other system that I thought I'd mention it. The ape faces are especially hard to see now in the large image, but still obvious in the smaller one.

Thanks for the inside information and perspective. I sometimes have to do those types of explanations over at Anomaly Hunters.
Now to get back to an earlier request in my first post on this subject.... Can anyone help me with the shape from shading plug-in for The GIMP? Or does anyone here have the shape from shading plug-in working and could render the tetrahedron for us?

Trinket,
Why not tell us in straight language what you are thinking? Who is covering up what for what reason? Back when I thought these images were definitively artificial, I speculated that the US government might be engaged in a mild cover-up. My reasoning was that they probably didn't want the awareness of Mars artifacts to go public because that would initiate a world-wide call for a cooperative, multi-national program for a manned mission to Mars. Any new technology there, the argument would be, should benefit the world as a whole, not any specific country. As US military/intelligence planners in the US certainly don't feel that way (and would want to monopolize any potential new Martian technology), I could see them engaging in a cover-up while at the same time promoting a unilateral manned Mars mission (the latter is actually in the works).
Now, however, I am no longer convinced these images are anything more than pareidolia (though I remain open-minded), and so perhaps there is no cover-up.
But you clearly are seeing a bigger coverup. You use the phrase "underestimation of the coverup" referring to other truth seekers. As my speculative cover-up (described above) is probably the most mild one imaginable, your comment definitely refers to me. So I am curious what you think the cover-up is about, and would appreciate you being direct, rather than using innuendo, as you have been doing.
Thanks,
Emanuel

If there is a coverup by the US Federal Government and the US Military, then they have done a terrible job of it. Anyway, a chemical rocketry, manned trip to Mars is economically infeasible. I doubt very much that such an expedition is in the works.

Hi Gregg,
You're right. What I meant to say is that the Bush administration has gone public saying they have a manned mission to Mars as a goal. This was many months ago, and articles referring to it are still all over the media. But I agree with you, given that such a feat isn't even technically possible, why would Bush declare this as a goal?

Just a note that TVF was on C2C on 8/22, while I didn't hear the broadcast it was brought to my attention that RCH made a call into the show and after a while Mars became the topic at which point RCH mentioned that he had a tetrahedron image, the description of his image would seem to indicate he was talking about this one.
