I need to correct the statment I made about the tides to include that the distance at parigee and apogee according to the 3rd power law indicates the tide should be ~48% higher when the moon in nearest and this is not observed. I expect a 48% higher tide when the moon is nearest.

The picture of the moon in its cycle is great. I suppose the motion is caused by the movement of the Earth, but, how much is this motion? This is the best picture of the moon I've ever seen. thanks

I just read the posts at the link left by ABE and most of the comments are about the standard model and I think the model is in need of a lot of fixing. The moon is the only source of tidal force that is observed on Earth in my viewpoint and the sun does not raise any tide in the solar system. Also the 3rd power law used to estimate tides is bogus even though it works very well. If there is data to show any of the assumptions made by the currently accepted model I am not aware of it so please post any links that can provide data. It would be nice to see the 18 year cycle of the moon in the format ABE posted for the monthly cycle-how can this be accessed?

The moon is residing into the blackness therefore the mediumn is giving light to movement. How black can the space medium be?Pitch black? I know space is cold then how come there is not a great yst over our atmosphere, I mean if you consider when a high temperature liquid comes into contact with with a low temp. liquid then you can get steam
