[JUU]It is generally defined as change in position over change in time (v=dr/dt). Acceleration is change in velocity over change in time (a=dv/dt).

My statements about accelerations and forces have been correct

Actually, your statements above are flat wrong. You can define V as the time derivative of the position vector or as the limit of the change of the position vector over a change in time deltat, as deltat goes to zero, which are shown to be equivalent statements. V is not the change of position over change in time. The same holds for acceleration, that is "a" is the time derivative of the velocity vector. It is not the change in velocity over the change in time. One could fail a final exam of a mechanics course with these kind of answers.

Precision makes all the difference in the world.

You can find the definitions I gave in ANY basic college physics textbook. Whats the matter, did things get too quiet in the infinity/relativity discussion that you needed someone new to attack?

Read you basic textbooks again and again to understand your errors. Books are right, you were wrong. You are commiting another error now by saying I have attacked people in other topics. It is just your distorted view of what has happened in those topics. Just say thank you that someone is willing to help you. If that's an attack in your opinion, you'll never learn anything.

It took me time to try to teach you the correct definitions for velocity and acceleration and you ought to be appreciative of that.

Don't worry though, I won't be back. The terminator will. :)

After reading this lengthy string I feel that the question has been solved some 10 or so posts back and a decent into the malestrom of ad hominem nonsense is preparing to occur again. Folks, this exchange is meant for an exchange of ideas. If you disagree to the point of name calling then except an invitation to any local gymnasium where a boxing ring can be setup to solve your differences.

Statements like:
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> can you HONESTLY <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> if you can say something productive please do so. You are not being productive here.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> I don't like people who pretend <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>

There is more, need I continue.

As a moderator I try to keep a laissez-faire style so as not to interfere with sound argument. Stop the crap talking or you will find your welcome revoked. Thank you. Mark Vitrone
