Gd, Thanks for posting this link to an interesting story. As far as I can see the Jupiter connection to sunspots has nothing to due to the cause of the spots but the 11 year cycle of activity. I know there was a quiet sunspot cycle of 70 years a few centuries back but there is no explaination for that in currect theory. It is too bad so many of the brightest minds now on believe silly theories really effect any of these processes. Maybe some day that will change.

Let's say that the theory I am presenting is correct (against my will), this would mean that an asteroid's orbit would be declining or losing potential energy as the solar system's entropy increases.
Is this a possibility ?

Could events in the past give us an indication that there was an increase of meteorite strikes during periods where the solar system was in a high entropy state ?

I have found some information showing the decrease of meteorite impacts over the past 4 billion years. According to me, this time frame is way too long.
There seems to be no data on a shorter interval of a few 100 000 years (max. 1 million years).
I will then try to find information on orbital dynamics of bodies in space where anomalies or errors are induced by a higher entropy system.

I found something interesting:
muller.lbl.gov/papers/MullerLunar.pdf
Although the entropy of the solar system is not taken into consideration in this paper, I think it may very well be a combination of orbital dynamics of a system influenced by its entropy.
Out of maybe 50 other sites which indicated a decrease in meteorite activity, this is the only one so far which states otherwise.

Here is something more on varying mm size meteorite flux with respect to solar activity but at a very short interval of time (couple of years only or solar cycles):
