As to the temperature of Earth-that has not changed in 4 billion years.

But the mantle generates energy somehow to keep its internal temperature more or less constant.

Maybe there is some kind of high temperature reactor unknown to science

Jim, the Earth was in a deep freeze 700 million years ago. Its core had to be cooler then!
During that time Venus must of had a lower entropy atmosphere and core.
The temperature variations for the past billion years on Earth was not cyclical therefore confirming the unidirectional motion of bodies in space. (no body will ever move through the same area of space.)
I think the atom reacts to this change of position with time.
What do you think ?

The theory known as: "Snowball Earth" that you are refering to is not a proven fact and I think it is a result of misuse of data to make a model that makes no sense. This is currently a work in progress and will be redesigned in the future no doubt. Venus and Earth were more alike in the period prior to the snowball event. Earth "evolved" for reasons not yet discovered involving CO2 removal from the atmosphere. This process never started on Venus also for reasons not yet known involving the CO2 removal process. The removal process is done by changes in the chemistry of rocks. In any event the overall energy balance and budget of Earth and Venus has not changed for reasons not yet known.

OOOH...Good one GD! I could nitpick a little but I couldn't improve on it. I'd be 'proving' the implied jealousy in nitpicking.;-}

There is only one kind of stuff!

The term is opinionated.
You people seem to be on the defensive lately.
More points were scored on my side, therefore I rest my case.
