It is very telling about those who do not understand this. The very first thing I came to really know was that I didn't know anything. Since that time, the more I come to know, the more I realize there is so much more to know. So yes, the more I know, the less I know. Which is alright by me because it is the learning part that is fun.
Sad, though, that science in America seems to be barking up the wrong tree, sad for our kids... Sad that i cannot in all honesty tell our kids that science cannot be trusted.
PS. There is a reference to "The more you know the less you know" in the Zen sense. Who knows more - the Phd who can write a book on the weather; or the farmer who can live with the weather? Has to do with concept and action.
And don't think that this is off topic, because meta science can be argued as meaning putting science to use.
