EXISTENCE (not creation) Ex Nihilo
<br /><blockquote id="quote"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">talk about implying a god,from nothing-comes nothing,whatever!!<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
I have no problem with the implication since my understanding of the word is that of a supreme being. Since I consider the universe to be a conceptual geometric of nothing - It only stands to reason that the word God fits this bill. Another interpretation of the word God I like to use is the concept of one. I can't think of anything more supreme than one. It is common to every entity that exist, and if I consider one to be conceptually oriented. I can't help but use the term God. I hope you weren't thinking of a God as a he that sits on a throne making important decisions about our comings and goings.
<blockquote id="quote"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">so how does nothing have a geometry at all?<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
Perhaps you should be asking yourself how nothing could not.
<blockquote id="quote"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">but it is not a COMPLETE understanding of all things obviously. whether we found "meaning" to this or that is irrelevant to the universe it does not care.how we go about giving "meaning" is up to us, the universe does not care.long before we could contemplate "existence" we were, the universe exists, like it or not.<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
Not sure what you meant by this, but I'll take a stab at it. All conceptual entities know that they exist ,,,, albeit rudimentary understanding of course. All that is needed is that a difference be noted. I.E. zero and one.
<blockquote id="quote"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">I find your contention,from nothing-comes nothing absurd to say the least.<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
Absurd!!!!
The dickens you say!!!
,so do tell us what your definition of "nothing" is.<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
You are the definition of nothing.
I am the definition of nothing.
The Earth is the definition of nothing.
Space is the definition of nothing.
The universe is the definition of nothing.
All the above is the existence of nothing.
That which does not exist is undefined. I.E. Has no geometric form

Stay?
I love this stuff!!
As per the usual - This kind of topic always generates large numbers of post. We can always expect a diverse set of opininions regarding this issue. If you didn't understand my last post. Thats fine - It's not easy to grasp. If you can somehow consider that there are no physical (material) things in favor of conceptual entities. Perhaps an understanding could be had. If you can come to grips with contradiction as an absolute necessity to your existence. An even greater understanding would be forthcoming.
I offer conjecture. It's about all we have regarding this subject anyway. There is no idea on this subject that I reject outright. All doors are open - Even the Metamodel. Hell I haven't rejected Porky Pig waving a wand. We all have a hierarchy. Existence Ex Nihilo happens to be at the top of my list. Whats yours?

The universe wasn't CREATED - it was, in fact DISCOVERED . . . by the Great Pumpkin.
