north,
I've reviewed these posts several times, but that doesn't guarantee that I caught all my mistakes, unconscious assumptions, etc. If you (or anyone else) find something that doesn't work or doesn't make sense let me know and I'll fix it.

Suppose you wanted to send someone a screen shot of two particular posts from this thread.
You would:
*) Open your browser
*) Go to www.Metaresearch.org / MessageBoard / Gravity & Relativity / metaresearch CD / (page 2)
*) Scroll down until you see the two posts you want to send.
*) Adjust the size and shape of the browser window so it is just big enough to show both posts. You can make it bigger than this if you like, but the larger it is the longer it takes to send when you attach it to an e-mail.
*) capture, save, attach and send.

Hmmm,
One more note - The only information that is captured by a screen shot is what can be seen in the window you capture.
So, for the example where you have sized the browser window to show two particular posts, the image in the screen shot will not show any other part of the thread.
A screen shot is a lot like taking a picture of the screen, or of a particular part of the screen. It is an image or the data, rather than the data itself.
